Bunn Family Alaska Adventure

Follow along as we travel with three kiddos, three pups and a bearded dragon from NC to Kodiak, Alaska.

Whitehorse YT, to Kluane lake, YT

Wednesday, June 26th- stayed in Pioneer RV park where our tiny baby camper was squished in between huge motorhomes. Headed toward Alaska but wasn’t sure exactly where we were going to camp to break up the 7.5 hours only driving. Roadside bathrooms are just big holes in the ground with a stall over it. Joey threatened to throw Lia in which she thought was hilarious (pictured below). Decided to stop and dry camp at Kluane lake. Lenn, the campground owner, was very nice and put us in a great spot. He did say that there was a large Grizzly running around, but we didn’t see him. There weren’t any hookups, so it was our first night of using the generator. It’s a pretty quiet generator, and we didn’t have any neighbors, so we left it on all night. We got a little paranoid about the exhaust, though, and Joey eventually had it so far from the camper that the grizzly could have run away with it, and we wouldn’t have known. Saw our first bald eagle, we told him he was confused and needed to fly back to the USA. 😂

Made some pasta for dinner as a storm rolled in. We spent the night resting and finally broke down and covered all the windows in black out curtains because it’s so light out at night. It was a great last night in Canada, and we head to Tok next.
