Bunn Family Alaska Adventure

Follow along as we travel with three kiddos, three pups and a bearded dragon from NC to Kodiak, Alaska.

Watson Lake, YT to Whitehorse, YT

Tuesday, June 25th- Before leaving Watson Lake we made a stop at the sign post forest, which has 77,000+ signs. We even saw a sign from NC from 1959. Joey reluctantly climbed our ladder and put up our sign to the back right of the park. On the way to Whitehorse we saw 8 black bears 🐻.  Still need to see a moose! Lots of moose signs, no moose. Part of the highway was under construction so we had to stop a few signs and wait for a pilot car. We got into the campground late and still needed to go to the store for supplies. Luckily there was a small Walmart in town. Decided we couldn’t do 7.5 hours of driving (which turns into about 12 hours) on the highway. We have to go really slow and there’s lots of stops so we are stealing a day I had at the end of the trip for cushion to break up the day. We will cross into Alaska Thursday  instead of tomorrow.  Not sure where we are camping next but it will be somewhere in the Yukon.
