Decided to start documenting the next day so I’m not having to stay up late post.

We left off yesterday (Friday) after the Corn Palace. Had a shorter drive (5 hours) so we worked in a few stops. First was Wall Drug, the “JR’s” of South Dakota. Glad we saw it but something you only need to do once. Surprised that they really do still have five cent coffee. 

Later in Rapid City, we went up a very steep and narrow road on a mountain, which i quickly regretted, to visit dinosaur park. The kids (all four, including Joey 😜) loved it. We stopped by the gift store for some ice cream (two scoops of chocolate per Lia request). 

Finally, we made our way to the Mount Rushmore KOA Resort and saw Mt. Rushmore on the way in.  Huge campground, lots of fun for the kids and a restaurant on the grounds for dinner. The kiddos went swimming in the pool and hot tub, and I was able to do some laundry with the world’s coldest dryer. Headed to Billings, Montana next. -L
