What a day. We said goodbye to Nashville and  met ‘Almost Willie’ at a gas station on the way out (#1 Willie Nelson impersonator whether or not that’s a self-proclaimed title,  I’m not sure. 😆 We bumped through Kentucky (0/5 stars for KY roads, do not recommend), and saw the Tennessee River. Things took a turn once we got into Illinois. We saw our second Nashville of the day and a smiley face water tower. Once back on the road,  where we had our first flat tire of the trip on the camper. OH FUDGE..(But I didn’t say fudge)🎄 Joey did a quick switcheroo on the tire and had help from the roadside ticks. 🪲Decided to go ahead and get a few additional spares for the camper at a local tire shop, and we got back on the road about 2 hours later. Made our way through St. Louis on accident but got to see the arch and made our way to Knob Noster State Park, a whopping 14 hours since our start this morning. 😵Despite my Uncle Randy’s careful warning, my navigation skills left much to be desired and we ended up on the scenic route to the campground… deer, glowing eyes and gravel,  oh my. Alas, we have arrived and we are extending our time here to recover tomorrow and visit with Uncle Randy &Aunt Sheila.
